Hi everyone –
Can you believe it’s been ONE year since COVID hit and we quickly went into lock-down everywhere? It’s crazy how the world changed so much and so quickly.
The good news is that COVID-19 infection rates are dropping. Vaccines are being administered in increasingly efficient ways. More and more people are getting vaccinated everyday and feeling safer when leaving their homes. If you are like me and my active family, we are all super anxious to get back to pre-COVID life!
Looking back on the past year, we at Fitzgerald had to adapt quickly to life that was rapidly changing as we knew it. For example, we made the decision to close our doors for the safety of our staff and employees – even though as essential workers we could have remained open. We remained closed for 8 weeks. However, we used the time with our PT team to keep up with training and continuing education. We maintained the integrity of our team meetings and collaboration for a strong and safe return for when we reopened. We also worked hard to put a plan in place to ensure we were following CDC guidelines so both our patients and employees could return safely.

When our doors reopened, we slowly ramped back up with staff working very limited hours -adjusting their schedules and managing work life balance to get the clinic back on track. In the pre-COVID months, we had planned to expand our Woburn clinic during the summer of 2020. We decided to continue to move forward with our plans. It ended up working out great as it allowed even more room in our clinic for social distancing. We also hired several new employees to accommodate the expansion and our telehealth offering as well.
Most recently in order to make it even easier to do business with us, we revamped our website portal scheduling system to allow our patients to easily book appointments and pay their bill online.

I’m proud of the fact that we are physical therapist owned private practice continuing to serve the community and are even stronger in 2021 for having survived 2020! If you need anything or have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to help you feel better. Big enough to serve you yet small enough to care.
Thanks again for all your continued support!
