PT, DPT
Melrose Clinic

Dr. Christi Sung is a NJ native and a graduate of Northeastern University. She has a Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Sciences, Minor in Psychology, and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Having played volleyball in high school, and weight lifting and cycling throughout college, Christi has always found ways to remain active and recognized the value in rehabilitating her own various injuries. After navigating through the injuries that came with picking up new active hobbies, she learned what it means to be a patient herself.

Throughout her two cooperative educations and three clinical rotations in inpatient hospital and outpatient clinic settings, Christi has worked with a variety of patient populations including athletes of all ages, weekend warriors, patients with spinal cord injuries, and more. During her experiences, she developed a passion for the outpatient orthopedic setting and enjoyed treating not only more complex athletic conditions, but also common day-to-day injuries. She has a special clinical interest in foot and ankle injuries. Christi also specializes in treating TMJ-related issues through physical therapy and am dedicated to helping those living with jaw pain, headaches, and related symptoms feel better and regain their quality of life.

Christi believes that not one person presents the same as another, regardless of how common a condition seems to be. She has a passion for problem solving and honing in on the root cause of each individual problem her patients present with. She prioritizes educating her patients on the what, why, and how throughout each individual’s personal journey to recovery.

In her free time, she likes to enjoy the outdoors and go on picnics, cafe hop, visit new restaurants, travel overseas, and spend quality time with her cat, Ponzu.
