A note of thankfulness from Fitzgerald PT President, Dr. Holly Fitzgerald

Hi Fitz Family –

I hope this message continues to find you and your loved ones in good health! As the Thanksgiving holidays are quickly upon us, I wanted to take a moment to really reflect on the fact that we have SO much be grateful for this year – as I’m sure you do as well. Therefore, I wanted to share the top 5 of them with you:

1. Clinic expansion – This year, we officially opened our third location in Wilmington, MA with a ribbon cutting ceremony in February. It was a labor of love that was years in the making! We are so happy to have a clinic in this location so we can better serve the North Shore and expand our reach into northern MA. Our family also lives in the town of Wilmington, so you can see why the town is so near and dear to our hearts.

2. PT Growth – I am thankful for witnessing the growth and professional development of some of our team members that have moved away over the past years. Many still keep in contact with us even though they’ve moved on. Although we miss them greatly, we are so happy for them and their success! And proud to have been a part of their journey.

3. Fitz Family – I am incredibly thankful for my “Fitz home team” – my husband Sean and my children give me the motivation I need to be at my best every day. It’s not always easy being a business owner and having a family, but somehow, we make it all work. In addition, our Fitz family has grown so much over the past year! I’m so thankful for all the new faces on our team. We are busier than ever and with that comes new PT and support staff. We also pride ourselves on the fact that we’ve created a culture here at Fitzgerald PT that allows the new staff to feel welcome, and for the clinic to be a place where they can really learn and grow.

4. Fitness Goals – This past year, I had the ability to train for and run my first marathon since 2014. Prior to this, I had run 16 marathons, so I knew what I was in for when it came to preparing both my body and mind for the race. However, I’m not as young as I was 9 years ago, so it wasn’t “as easy” as it had been in the past. I ran the Melrose “Run for Women” in May – it was a bit rough and my time was slow (for me). However, I told myself that I was ok with however I was to finish the marathon and to just enjoy the experience. And that’s what I did – and it was the most fun I’ve had running a marathon! I am so grateful for everyone who supported my training throughout the year and for my body to allow me to accomplish my fitness goals.

5. Our Patients – because without you all, Fitzgerald PT would not exist! We say all the time that we love our patients, but it really is true. Working with patient frequently has enabled us to get to know them better and grow personal relationships. I cannot tell you how grateful I am each time a patient takes time out of their busy day to write us a note, letter or review. Reading these warms my heart and affirms that we are doing the right thing. Each encounter makes me a better clinician and business owner. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your recovery journey!

Lastly, I would like to thank you for your continued loyalty and being such a valued friend of Fitzgerald Physical Therapy. On behalf of my entire team, please know that we consider it a privilege to serve all our patients and the community year after year.

We hope you have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving holiday this year!

With a grateful heart,

Dr. Holly Fitzgerald, Owner and President of Fitzgerald Physical Therapy Associates
