In case you haven’t heard, this July marks our 20th year of Fitzgerald PT! What a ride it has been! So many ups and downs and in between. We’ve had so many amazing experiences with patients, staff, the community and everyone who has ever supported us.
In celebration, we asked owners Dr. Holly Fitzgerald and her husband Sean for their top highlights so far. Here are their answers:
- Opening up our first location in Malden, MA in 2003
2. Moving from Malden to Melrose a few years later
3. Opening up a 2nd location in Woburn, MA
4. Getting the company into the black after years of struggling. Many businesses don’t ever make it back and are forced to close their doors. We were NOT going to let that happen!
5. Helping so many patients over the years who have come back time and time again when injured because they were treated well and enjoyed their experience with us.
6. Holly becoming a PT patient herself in 2012 and then again in 2018.
7. Recording our first ever TV commercials in 2021 – and people in the community seeing them!
8. Opening our 3rd clinic in Wilmington, MA at the beginning of 2023.
9. Launching Fitzgerald’s Athletes for Life program in 2023 – which we had been thinking about and planning for years. Can’t wait to continue to grow this in the upcoming months!
10. One of our favorite events of the year is the Melrose Run for Women where we are the Title Sponsor. This year, a former patient made it extra special by making a T-shirt thanking Tyler and Fitzgerald PT for helping to get back to her first race since surgery. It was so cool! We all loved it.
11. Seeing so many of our employees purchase their first home, get married and have children and grow as people. Their families are always part of the Fitz fam! We are so glad that we get to be a part of their journey.
12. Having gained such a great reputation within the industry that Dr’s will answer our calls and collaborate with us freely – which is not easy!
13. Never having to sacrifice our core values in reaching our goal – no double booking or watered-down care. We also employ staff who believe in our core values as well.
14. The ability to involve our children in our business with team outings, commercial shoots, fundraising. Future PT’s in the making??
15. Donating to our local communities to help with enrichment programs, infrastructure projects and team/league sponsorships. We love seeing the Fitzgerald name out there and when people wear their Fitz gear.
Lastly, we’d like to give a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us over the years! Whether it was to offer a word of encouragement, drop us a Google Review, refer us to a friend/family member, stop by our table to say “hi” at an event, or a text to let us know you saw our commercial, etc. The past 20 years have been incredible and we could NOT have done it without you all!
