A note of thankfulness from Fitzgerald PT President, Dr. Holly Fitzgerald

Hi Fitz Family –

I hope this message continues to find you and your loved ones in good health! As the Thanksgiving holidays are quickly upon us, I wanted to take a moment to really reflect on the fact that we have SO much be grateful for this year – as I’m sure you do as well. Therefore, I wanted to share the top 5 of them with you:

  • Growth – as you may know, we just opened up our third Fitzgerald PT location in Wilmington, MA. And it has been a long time coming! We had talked about opening another clinic “sometime soon,” but it took some time to find the right location and then to build it out. After about 9 months of working on this and talking about it for many more, we were finally able to open our doors in early November. I’m so grateful and humbled by all the blood, sweat, and tears it took to make this happen.
  • Fitz PT Family – of course I’m grateful for my own family this year, and every year. However, this year I’m especially grateful for our Fitz PT Family. We have an incredible team that is so much more than just co-workers or employees. They have proven time and time again, that they are dedicated to our work and Fitz’s core mission. They continue to amaze me how they care about patients and go above and beyond to make our PT clinics such a success. Not only am I so thankful for them, but extremely proud of them as well.
  • Travel – for many years after starting Fitz PT, due to limited resources and finances, I was unable to take any vacation time – at all. I was dedicated to building the business and setting ourselves up for success. But I was also working crazy hours, running the clinic, seeing a full caseload of patients – while attempting to be a wife and mother. After years of this, I started to feel really burnt out. So, this year, I’m very thankful for the time I was able to spend with my family on our travels to Disney, South Carolina, and visits to Frye Island in Maine. I’m especially thankful for the Fitz fam who continued to successfully run the clinics so I could take the time away. Did I tell you how much I love our Fitz fam?!?
  • Exercise – I love to exercise – so much that I get up everyday at 4:30 a.m. to ensure that I can get a good workout in before the craziness of my day begins. I am especially grateful for exercise this past year because I have recovered fully from not one, but two ACL surgeries, and have been able to return to exercising and playing all the sports I love with no pain. As a PT, I am especially grateful that exercise has healing powers and the ability to help our patients get better through moment and exercise.
  • Our Patients – because without you all, Fitzgerald PT would not exist! We say all the time that we love our patients, but it really is true. Working with patient frequently has enabled us to get to know them better and grow personal relationships. I cannot tell you how grateful I am each time a patient takes time out of their busy day to write us a note, letter or review. Reading these warms my heart and affirms that we are doing the right thing. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your recovery journey!

Lastly, I would like to thank you for your continued loyalty and being such a valued patient of Fitzgerald Physical Therapy. On behalf of my entire team, please know that we consider it a privilege to serve all our patients and the community year after year.

We hope you have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving holiday this year!

With a grateful heart,

Dr. Holly Fitzgerald, Owner and President of Fitzgerald Physical Therapy Associates
