Hi Fitz Family –
I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. As you may have heard, last week we reopened our open clinics in both Melrose and Woburn. I just wanted to take a few minutes to reflect upon the week and share with you some thoughts.
To be completely honest, reopening in the “new normal” was a bit scary and nerve-wracking! We had been planning for weeks the precautionary measures we were going to take and tried to think through everything in order to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. But since this is unchartered territory, we were worried that something would get thrown at us unexpectedly – sort of fear of the unknown.
Coming out of our first week I have to say, it went really well! The feedback we received was really encouraging. Several patients told us how the policies and procedures were great and “we really had our act together” and that they could “tell a lot of planning went into the reopening.” It was so good to hear! It seemed that all the training, preparing and precautions were evident, and people felt at ease. This was our overall main goal.
This is the new face of outpatient at Fitz PT. Top of the line care – however our patients see fit. We are willing to meet you where you are – whether that be in person or from home via Telehealth. It could also be a combination of both. It’s all up to our patients and what makes you feel the most comfortable. We don’t want anything preventing you from the care that you need in order to feel better.
If you’d like to come to the clinic but are still a bit apprehensive, it’s ok! We are happy to schedule appointment times around what works best for you and ensure there’s minimal traffic while in our clinic. We continue to clean and sanitize our clinics hourly, daily and weekly (professional cleaning) in accordance with the recommendations from the CDC with products approved by the Environmental Protection Agency. You can read more about all the precautions we are taking here. We are here to help our patients avoid the hospitals if they can.
Thanks again for being such a valued patient of Fitzgerald Physical Therapy. If you have any questions or concerns or would like to make an appointment, do not hesitate to contact us or call 781-321-7000.
Stay well and speak soon,
Dr. Holly Fitzgerald
